Tooling Technician

  • The Tooling Technician position is a hands-on position working with and/or under the direction of Tool Engineering in the assembly and implementation of Tool or Test fixtures, hardware and/or equipment

  • The position is required to interface often with not only Tool Engineering, but also with Production Engineers, Supervisors and Design Engineers

  • Assembly of fixtures from machined parts along with the debug and implementation of these fixtures is often the main task for the technician

  • These fixtures utilize mechanical clamps, pneumatic or electrical hardware and occasionally PLC logic controllers

  • Repairs to existing fixtures or equipment


Required Skills:

  • Working towards or achieved technical degree or certification in a related field

  • 1+ years of experience in related field

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.? Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Desired Skills:

  • A good mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to analyze the current situation and provide solutions is what the position requires

  • Desire to learn skills that may be lacking to fulfill duties

  • Basic knowledge of shop tools, both hand and machine

  • PLC ladder logic exposure

  • Basic electrical knowledge

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
