This position typically pays an annual salary of $31,200; however, salary commensurate with relevant education and experience.

About the Job
Highway Technicians are the backbone of INDOT's business and are responsible for performing general highway maintenance duties that keep INDOT assets in good working condition to ensure customer satisfaction. HTs are also an integral part of INDOT's summer and winter operations. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for this position. Note: The Indiana Department of Transportation provides CDL training, pays/reimburses eligible employees for all eligible CDL expenses.
A Day in the Life
Operates basic highway maintenance and traffic equipment to maintain, repair and clean highways and right-of-ways;
Repairs and installs traffic signs;
Lays down pavement markings;
Traffic control in project areas;
Moves and loads supplies and materials;
Performs road repair and pothole patching
Removes snow and ice from highways and interstates and performs related maintenance duties by operation of snow plow and other winter operations related duties.
What We're Looking For
High school graduate or equivalent is preferred;
Must possess a valid drivers' license;
Must have valid CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days;
NOTE: The Indiana Department of Transportation provides CDL training, pays for eligible employees to take CDL exams, and reimburses employees for eligible expenses for obtaining a CDL including the CDL permit and license following their hire date.
Required to submit to and pass a drug test as a condition of employment;
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
